About the Rules of Tajweed Course

Our Rules of Tajweed Course is designed for students who have completed the Quran Reading Course and can recite the Quran but wish to refine their Tajweed skills. This course focuses on improving pronunciation, strengthening recitation rules, and developing fluency through consistent practice.

Tajweed is essential for reading the Holy Quran correctly and beautifully. One of the key principles of fluent Quranic recitation is continuous repetition and guided practice. In this course, students learn all the essential Tajweed rules in detail alongside practical recitation activities. Each lesson is delivered one-on-one to ensure personalized attention and accuracy.

By the end of the course, students gain confidence and the ability to recite the Quran with proper pronunciation, clarity, and rhythm.

    • Recitation Style: Hafs ‘an Asim

    • Class Type: One-on-One

    • Class Duration: 30 Minutes

    • Age Level: 8 Years & Above

    • Prerequisite: Ability to read the Quran fluently

    • Course Duration: Based on student’s learning speed

Rules of Tajweed Course Outline

Students will learn:

    • Makharij: Points of articulation of Arabic letters

    • Waqf: Rules of pausing and stopping

    • Vowels: Short and long vowels

    • Qalqalah: Echoing sounds

    • Sun & Moon Letters: Rules of pronunciation

    • Rules of Izhar-e-Halaqi, Ikhfa, Idgham-e-Yarmaloon, Iqlab

    • Rules of Izhar-e-Shafawi, Ikhfa-e-Shafawi, Idgham-e-Shafawi

    • Reading Practice: Surah Al-Fatiha

    • Reading Practice: Para 30 (Juz Amma)

    • Tajweed exercises with real Quranic examples

Requirements

Since this is an advanced application course, students must already know:

    • How to read Arabic words

    • Harakaat (vowels)

    • Sukoon

    • Madd

    • Tanween

    • Shaddah

Those who lack these basics should complete the Quran Reading Course first before starting the Tajweed Course.

Outcome

After completing this course, students will be able to recite the Holy Quran with full Tajweed, correct pronunciation, and beautiful fluency.
